Welcome to Buda Budi Treks – where we can help you plan the best experience in the Himalayas. No longer a dream, we will help you make it happen.
To us, Buda Budi in Nepali means husband / wife and together, Ramesh and Liz bring together years of experience of trekking and many visits to Nepal. After meeting on a trek to Ama Dablam in the Everest region back in 2012, Liz and Ramesh became close and ended up marrying back in Australia in 2016.
Ramesh was born in Nepal and spent over 10 years as a trekking guide leading groups for World Expedition. He is currently working in Melbourne for an outdoor clothing and supply company. Liz is an Australian and has visited Nepal more than 14 times and has over 22 years or corporate experience in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and London and understands the requirements of westerners in a place like Nepal.
Together, Ramesh and Liz have trekked around Nepal including Everest base camp, Gokyo Ri and Cho-la, Ama Dablam base camp, Annapurna region and Poon Hill. They have also travelled by taxi, local bus (with goats/chickens), tour bus and plane. They even used up one of their nine lives when flying back from Lukla to Kathmandu and lived to tell the tale.
Life is too short to put off booking an adventure to Nepal… so have a look through this website, send us an email and let us design a trip of a lifetime.
